My name is Libby Moore. I grew up in Washington, Illinois and received a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Bradley University in 2005 and and a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance from Illinois State in 2011. I have experience teaching a wide range of ages—pre-school to adult. My most recent teaching positions have included Knox College, Eureka College, and currently Illinois Central College, where I teach Voice Lessons, Music Appreciation, and direct the Concert Choir. I have been an active performer in the Peoria area—performing with such organizations as the Peoria Municipal Band, Peoria Area Civic Chorale (Soprano section leader), Dramatic Crossroads chamber opera singers, Opera Illinois, Sugar Creek Opera, Peoria community theater, and most recently the Nova Singers—a professional chamber choir of the Galesburg, IL area. I also run a private piano and voice studio out of my Washington home where I live with my husband, Dan, and two children (Elijah and Imogen).
In my free time, I love cooking, finding new ways to be green, and watching my children create new
LEGO inventions! I am excited to be working with WCHS choir students this year and can’t wait to get started!
